We also designed several prototypes of task-focused applications, again emphasizing ease of use, which could augment the capabilities of this desktop as well as present-day PCs. The small window on the left responds to a click on one of its buttons by expanding out to reveal the larger display, which offers control of a few user-relevant tasks: here, playing music, displaying address and calendar information, and simple e-commerce.
